Clinic Policies

Walk-in clients will be seen, however, it is preferred you make an appointment, so please call and schedule to help avoid any unnecessary long waits. Emergency cases will always receive top priority, followed by patients with scheduled appointments
 

Patient Arrivals

For your protection and that of others, all dogs must be on a lead and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms and all cats should be caged or suitably contained. If you do not have a cage for your cat, please ask one of the nurses to supply you with one
 

Drop Offs

If we are unable to give you a suitable appointment, we are happy for you to 'drop off' your pet. The veterinarian will check your pet and then telephone you and discuss the case with you. If possible please fill out a Drop Off Admission Form and bring it with you
 

Surgical Admissions

Patients are admitted for surgery between 7.30 and 8.30. Routine surgery is performed Monday to Friday. Do not feed your pet on the morning of surgery. Surgery is usually performed under a general anaesthetic, a premedication is given on admission. Pre-anaesthetic blood testing is available on request. Encourage your dog to toilet before admission. Surgical cases are usually ready to go home after 3.00pm the same day, unless advised otherwise.  Wherever possible we try to make a Discharge appointment, so that our Discharge Nurse can spend some time going over the discharge instructions with you.  
You can print out a PreAnaesthetic Admission Form, fill it in and bring with you on the day of admission
 

New Clients

We are happy to welcome you as a new client and look forward to a long association caring for your pet's needs. For your convenience you will find a New Client Form which you can print out, fill in and bring along with you on your second visit. When making your appointment, please advise our receptionist that you will be bringing the form with you, so she doesnt have to take the details over the phone. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our services. As a new client your will receive 10% off your second medical bill. Please print out the Discount Voucher and bring it with you on your second visit.

Payments

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Activa, Eftpos and cash. If, for some reason, you are unable to pay your account immediately, please discuss the matter with the veterinarian
