Prescription Food

Prescription diets are available only by or on the order of a veterinarian. These foods must be prescribed by a veterinarian because the products have been specially formulated to target a specific metabolic process in your cat or dog. A good example of this would be Hills Prescription S/D diet which is prescribed for a short period of time in order to assist in the non-surgical elimination of certain urinary tract stone formations. A diet such as this may not be wise to use
long term nor in an animal not needing therapy for urinary calculi. Because of the unique properties of prescription foods, pets on prescription diets need to be monitored regularly to ensure they remain in optimum health.

Listed below are the Prescription diet foods manufactured by Hills Pet Nutrition and recommended by this clinic
